Terms & Conditions

The rules for shopping and using the WIIN Marketplace.

Last updated: 17 August 2026

Using the marketplace

These terms govern your use of the Women's Innovation and Investment Marketplace (WIIN). By browsing, creating an account, or placing an order, you agree to these terms. WIIN is a marketplace: independent businesses list products and services, and WIIN provides the platform to discover, order, and pay for them.

Accounts

You are responsible for the information you provide and for keeping your login details secure. You must be able to enter a valid contract under the laws of Guyana to place an order. We may suspend or close accounts that are inaccurate, abusive, or used in a way that harms other users or businesses.

Orders, prices, and payment

An order is an offer to buy from the seller at the price shown at checkout. Prices, availability, delivery options, and fulfilment times are set by the seller and may change until an order is confirmed. Payment is collected through the methods offered at checkout.

For services, checkout may collect a deposit only. Any remaining balance is arranged directly with the business, as described during checkout.

Delivery, cancellation, and refunds

Delivery, pickup, cancellation, and refund terms can vary by seller. Where a seller has published a policy on their listing, that policy applies. If no seller-specific policy is shown, the marketplace default is:

  • Full refund if you cancel within 24 hours of placing the order
  • 50% refund if you cancel within 7 days
  • No refund after 7 days, or once fulfilment has started

Cancellation requests are reviewed by the seller before an order is cancelled. Estimated refunds shown in your account are indicative until the seller approves the request.

Acceptable use

You may not use the marketplace to post unlawful content, impersonate others, interfere with the service, scrape data, or attempt to circumvent security or payment flows. Listings and messages must be accurate and respectful.

Platform role

WIIN is not the seller of marketplace listings unless a listing clearly says otherwise. Contracts for goods and services are between you and the business. We may assist with support, payments, and dispute handling, but sellers remain responsible for their products, services, and fulfilment.

Liability

The marketplace is provided as a service to connect shoppers with Guyanese businesses. To the fullest extent permitted by the laws of Guyana, WIIN, MHSSS, and collaborating partners are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for seller acts or omissions, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms as the marketplace evolves. The version published on this page applies from the last-updated date above. These terms are governed by the laws of Guyana.

Questions about these terms can be directed to the Ministry of Human Services and Social Security via mhsss.gov.gy. See also our Privacy Policy.
